Roku Is Making Important Upgrades & Has a Planned Temporary Service Outage
A statement on Roku’s website read, “We are migrating to new and more scalable servers to accommodate more Roku customers and partners."
As per Roku's website, the migration will take place, after converted to Australia timezone, it is on Wed, 23 Aug 2017 10:00 pm to Thu, 24 Aug 2017 4:00 am, Sydney time.
During this maintenance work Roku also advises that customers will still be able to stream with the apps they currently have, but customers will be unable to activate new Roku devices, access the Roku Channel Store, and make select streaming purchases through Roku Billing.
